Which size is right for me?

• Small (Ø6 × H37.5 cm): ideal for flower beds, borders, edging and shorter garden paths.
• Large (Ø8 × H56 cm): taller and more visible — great for driveways, longer pathways and front entrances.

How many do I need? Most front paths and borders look best with 4–8 lights. The Set of 4 works out cheaper per light than buying singles, so it's the best value for lining a path.

Tip: for a neat, evenly lit path, space the lights about 1–1.5 metres apart on both sides, and place them where they get direct sunlight for most of the day.

Installation

No wiring or electrician needed. Assemble the light onto the ground spike, then push it firmly into soil or lawn in a spot that gets plenty of direct sunlight. Before first use, switch it on and leave it in full sun for a day or two so the battery charges fully. For hard ground, loosen the soil first rather than forcing the spike.

Care

Wipe the solar panel and body now and then with a soft, damp cloth so dirt and leaves don't block the sunlight. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the finish.

Good to know

• Solar lights depend on daylight. Run time is longest after sunny days and shorter in the UK's darker winter months — this is normal for all solar lighting.
• Keep the panel away from shade and away from other lights (such as street lamps or porch lights), which can stop it switching on automatically.
• Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen settings.
