We started with a vision and a willingness to work for it.
JFHA BrightNest is an online lighting store run from London. It began as an idea that wouldn't leave us alone — that a home should feel warm and welcoming, and that it shouldn't cost a fortune to make it so.
We didn't come from retail. We had no stock, no experience, no shortcuts. What we had was a clear picture of the store we wanted to build, and a family prepared to do the work to get there.
So we did the work. We learned every part of it ourselves — sourcing, photography, writing, the website, the packing, the answering of emails. Some of it went well. A lot of it didn't, and we did it again until it did.
Everything you see here was built by hand, by us. There's no warehouse behind this and no big team. There's a family with a vision, and the determination to keep going until it's finished.
Why lighting
Because it's the one thing that changes how a home feels without changing anything else.
You can't move a wall. You can't make a room bigger. But hang the right light above the table, put a warm glow in the corner of a room, and the whole place feels different — softer, calmer, more like yours. It's the last thing most people think about, and the first thing they feel when they walk in.
That's why we sell lighting, and only lighting. We choose every piece ourselves, and we'd rather grow steadily with lights we believe in than fill the store with anything that will sell.
