Installation

No tools or electrician needed. Twist the lantern head off, slide the switch inside to ON, then twist the head back on. Attach the post and ground spike, and push the light into soft soil or lawn in a spot that gets direct sunlight. For the first use, leave them in full sun for a day to charge the batteries fully.

Care

Wipe the solar panel and lantern with a soft damp cloth every few weeks to keep them charging well. In long spells of dull winter weather, you can switch them off for a few days to let the batteries build up charge.

Good to know

• Run time depends on the season, weather and how much direct sun the panel gets, so expect shorter evenings of light in the darkest UK winter months.
• Keep them away from other outdoor lights or porch lamps, which can stop the sensor switching them on.
• Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen settings.
