LED outdoor wall light with a backlit halo glow — a modern exterior wall lamp for front doors, porches, garden walls, driveways and patios. IP65 waterproof, mains hardwired (110–240V), integrated LED included, in black or white, round or square, 15, 18 or 23 cm, in warm or natural white, with an optional PIR motion sensor for security lighting. Equally at home indoors, including bathrooms where an IP65 fitting is suitable.

The Wall Does the Glowing

The Klyne points its light backwards. A solid metal face sits proud of the wall and the LED washes out from behind it, so what you see is a ring or square of glow on the wall itself with a dark disc floating in the middle. Nothing shines into your eyes, which is exactly what you want on a doorway or a path you walk past every night.

Because the effect comes from the gap behind the face rather than from a lens, it works as well switched off as on — by daylight it reads as a plain geometric plate rather than a light fitting.

Round or Square

The same fitting in two geometries, at the same price. Round is softer and more forgiving beside brick, render and planting. Square is sharper and lines up with door frames, cladding and modern brickwork. Both come in all three sizes.

Measurements are the face diameter for round, or face width for square. Projection from the wall is not published by the manufacturer — contact us if clearance matters.

Choose Your Light

• Warm White (2700–3500K) — softer and more welcoming. The usual choice for a front door or a garden you sit in.
• Natural White (3500–5500K) — crisper and brighter, better where the light is doing security work as well as decoration.
• Either, with Motion Sensor — a PIR sensor sits in the centre of the face and triggers the light on approach. Worth it on a driveway, side passage or back door; less so on a porch you want lit all evening.

Weather Rating

The Klyne is rated IP65: dust-tight, and protected against water jets from any direction. That covers UK rain, wind-driven spray and hosing down. It does not cover immersion, so do not fit it anywhere it could sit under standing water.

The same rating means it is perfectly happy indoors too — including bathrooms, where an IP65 fitting is suitable in the zones an IP20 one is not. A qualified electrician can confirm the right zone for your layout.

Installation

Hardwired, and assembly is required. Outdoor and bathroom electrical work should be carried out by a qualified electrician, who can confirm whether the work is notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations and make sure the cable entry is properly sealed. A good seal is the single biggest factor in how long an outdoor fitting lasts.

Care & Cleaning

Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool before cleaning. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners. Check the seal around the cable entry once a year.
