Hang the Brunel over a kitchen island or dining table and the whole room changes character. A generous 31 cm glass dome sits inside a black iron frame with a rivet-style rim and a handsome crossbar bracket, the kind of detail you'd once have found in an old engine shed or harbour warehouse. Switched on with a filament bulb, it casts a rich, amber glow through the glass and onto the table below. Switched off, it's a sculptural piece in its own right.

It looks just as good above a scrubbed-oak table in a Victorian terrace as it does over a sleek island in a new-build open-plan kitchen. Hang one as a statement, or line up two or three for that unmistakable loft look.

Choose Clear Glass for a bright, open light that shows off the bulb, or Smoked Grey Glass for a moodier, softer glow that suits darker paint colours and evening dining.

Installation

This light is hardwired to your ceiling and should be fitted by a qualified electrician in line with UK wiring regulations (Part P, Building Regulations). Always switch off the power at the consumer unit before installation.

Care

Switch off and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning. Wipe the frame with a soft, dry cloth and clean the glass with a damp cloth and mild glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
